It depends how faded and if you do have a polisher to use?
For mild-medium oxidation then Duragloss Pre-Cleaner is good followed by Duragloss 101 to re-seal the paintwork and help to keep it looking good. Both products can be used by hand or machine.

ferecla g3 is good but i would say depends on what colour, and will u be buffing it by machine, what buff pad u have?
I know im digging up an old thread but i definalty do not want to start a new one, i to have a vl and some panels, ie the roof are absoloutly f***ed, i have tried most polishes that you buy from local auto stores by and and buffer but they all end up leaving marks and not lasting long, is there anything you can reccomend thats guarnteed to work and last? Cheers
What buffer are you using and with which type of buffing pads?

Um its a rockwell from supercheap and its just the standard ones that come with it, the applicator and the buffing one i believe
You're wasting your time with the Rockwell I'm afraid. You would yield better results polishing by hand.
Im happy to do it by hand but what polish/s
So what should i use after i put on the p21s if i purchase it?
You'll need to seal with something. Either with a wax or a synthetic sealant. As for what that should be, depends on your budget. Have a browse through CCP's website and pick something that is within your budget.
If you're after a one step process as opposed to cleaning then sealing, maybe consider this:
Car Care Products / Duragloss / Exterior / Paint Sealant / Clear Coat Polish
As mentioned that buffer will not be doing much. For a starter by hand I would perhaps try DG Pre-Cleaner this will remove oxidation, light swirls and improve gloss and then followed by DG 105 Sealant which will seal in the finish, make washing easier and protect.
Then you need to look at your washing routine - for best practice see here: Washing 2 bucket method
Hope this helps and let me know if you need more info

That does help to get some proper information from someone who actually knows what there talking about, not the auto store employees. I have bought just about every cut and polish but now im just left with dirty white swirl marks on my roof

Could be, but they all seem to work, for a very short period of time, i finished doing it last weekend and was actually impressed with the results i did by hand but now its just oxidiezed on the roof, no i don't exepct it to be a show car finish beacause its red and old but i just though it would last longer then a week or two
