Substitute?

Hey guys, my car is desperately in need of a clean and I've looked around the house and can't find anything. Is there other product i can use which I would find around the house? All I want is a good clean, nothing special.

You can use dish washing liquid but then it will remove any polish / wax or protection your car has on it, so then it will be exposed to higher rates of UV degradation and contamination sticking to it.

Do yourself and your car a favour and spurge out $50 or so just to get a basic wash kit. Like most things Prevention is better than Cure and I presume you spent a bit of cash on buying your investement first up...
