    Default Meguiars ultimate quik detailer

Hey just wondering i want to clay my car and i got given the mothers clay bar kit but i swapped the quik detailer with a friend for the Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer (New hydrophobiic polymer technology) just wondering if this would still be ok to use for lube for the clay if you could let me know asap that would be great. Its nice weather and i live in melbourne i could be waiting years for nice weather again lol....

Quick Detailers are 'ok' as clay lube but not the best because tey try to do 2 or 3 jobs in one. Personally I use a dedicated lube for 2 reasons; to provide ultimate 'slip' so as not to marr or scratch the paint, and also so the lube does not affect the condition of the clay and break it down (as this is the most expensive part of the process) I use Mint Lube or Dodo Juice Born Slippy this is a concentrate that actually makes up to 5 bottles of lube is you have a few cars - these lubes are just lube and designed to provide slip to the clay to make it glide over the service.
