    Default Removing Scratches from Paint

What would be the best way to remove scratches from paint?
My girlfriend decided to sit on my car with jeans and scratched it while she was at it.. I don't think it's a very deep scratch, I was hoping something would help get rid of it.. Ive looked at some of meguiars products, and thought of getting the Wet Look..
Ive also have swirls through the paint.. What would be the best product to get?
The previous told me that the paint job was a backyard job.. so not sure about the condition of the paint and what it can handle :\

sounds like your best bet is to go down to a proffesional and get a buff, or do it yourself and get your cut and polish hands on.

by backyard spray job most people mean the paint is only one or two layers
best scenario: get it polished proffesionally
worst scenario: the paints too thin too polish = respray

could try hand polishing with just a normal polish not a cut polish
then rub it off by hand (roughly)
then use a soft wool buffer too shine off the remaining polish (dont press buffer down just let it glide over the paint)

by doing it thisway you wont ruin "backyard paint" unless its spray can job!~

Hmph, How much would it cost to have a professional do it, I'm keen on doing it myself.. Not to sure what polish would be the best to use :\
Well I hope the paints not to thin.. nor a spray can job..

    Thanks

to do it yourself you need
buffer, at least two pads for it, polish, an old bath towell, polish pad/sponge
then do it as i said earlier (just wash the car good before you start duh)

dont know where in australia you are... near me the local carwash's do polishing for about 150 but thats a full cut polish then a buff polish
