    Default acrylic enamel finish

is there a special polish for this type of finish i have a VX comm and i believe holden were using this type of finish around 2000

but i'm struggling in removing some light scratches without leaving even finer ones, i've tried scratch X 2 and others with little success

    any ideas

No special polish is needed for your paint. Scratch X won't work because it is a glaze and won't actually remove anything. I would guess that the scratches you are inflicting would more than likely be from the cloth you are using. What are you using?

Hmm, it's either acrylic or enamel

Make sure the cloth is good. Cheese cloth works well

There is microfibre and then there is microfibre. Hopefully the panel shop of your choice does a proper job for you. There are a lot that will buff your car as an afterthought and do a pretty lousy job of it; even some big dollar ones. Keep us posted!
