Useful tip for scratched Tail lights

I had some very deep scratches in a rear tail light on a VU ute. I was going to just buy a new set and then decided to try something a bit radical.

I polished the tail light with metal polish. It took a long time..like 3/4 of an hour but I was totally amazed that the deep (really deep) scratches came out to a point where they we virtually gone.

I cant guarantee this will work on anything else but it worked on the tail light. I think because it was colored plastic all the away through and I just ground the scratches out..

A good one to keep in mind..worth a try ..but be careful..and be prepared to spend a long time polishing..
