Spray and wipe and newspaper normally does the trick for me but you have probably tried that.

Are you a smoker as the smoke can cause crap to get on the inside of the windscreen?

i'm a big fan of auto glym's glass polish, never had an issue and actually use it less than spray and wipe/glass cleaner

Do you mean inside or on the outside?

Stoners Invisible Glass followed with a proper Microfibre Glass Cloth

If external you can use either Autoglym Glass Polish or Duragloss Nu-Glass Polish

Instead of making a new thread. On my windows it looks like water has dried on them, I'm not sure if it's on the inside or outside but f*** it shits me. I use windex and a proper cloth and a spray for the inside becuase of my tint. I had a feeling about my tint bubbling but i really dont think its that

go with some nu-glass polish if its on the outside or on the inside and not tinted.
if its on the inside and window cleaner isnt doing the job and the windows are tinted then try some vu plex plastic cleaner and polish

Glass polish would probably be the best, but I use Meguiar's no smear glass cleaner on the inside, and I'm told you can just wax the windows with the same stuff you do the car with on the outside, and that should get rid of the watermarks and stuff.

Autoglym Car Glass Polish, or you can use Nu-Glass Polish. If you want as mentioned above Rain-X for glass protectant, otherwise you can go Nanolex Glass Urban Seal Kit.

Inside my personal favourite and pick is Stoner Invisible Glass as you use so little and have had nothing but great results so far.

i had this problem. used some windows polish on the outside. I think it was called sonax or something and then used a streak free glass cleaner inside. came up beautifully.

there is a weird dirty windscreen phuenomena that commodores sometimes get from the heater core leak too. as far as i can tell, it is hard to clean off even after fixing the core. it keeps making stupid misty swirls etc.
from what i can see it acts a lot like oil contaminated water and wont clean or dry normally when wet.
i found a pretty much 99.999999% way to clean it in one go, and its so obvious i dont know why it hasnt been said yet. it would work for oil on the outside of the windscreen as well i would say.

make a 50/50 mix of morning fresh dishwashing liquuid up in a cup. get a couple of those blue kitchen cloths, and really soap up the windscreen heavily in small areas at a time. use newspaper to clean the detergent off. its fairly important to use a new piece of newspaper when most of the detergent is wiped off too, or it will leave some light streaking. its cheap, so dont skimp on the newspaper.
works better than any method ive read and tried by far, and smells lemony fresh after too

now just to go off and do the grotty back window now.... the front looks great now though

the windscreens ok but dont use it if your other windows are tinted though, dishwashing liquid will wreck the tint on them...
