Best product for powdercoated rims

Hey m8, just wondering whats best to use on my powdercoated rims for my SS,not sure wether theres a product specifically for them...i generally just wiped down with damp/dry cloth each week to remove the dust/brake dust,cheers

Daniel,

You can wash the wheels like any other wheels. It would be a suggestion just to use a non acidic wheel cleaner if you wanted to use any cleaner of sorts.

haha cheers greg, yeh its coming along nicely..only problem ive got is the centre caps for the rims..i wanted normal holden caps to spray black to match but they all too small grrr only HSV ones will fit but gunna try some doublesided tape around the edges of the others and hopefully theyll stick well lol if not i guess ill have to sell a liver for the others

You can also try to see the size of the centre cap and possibly get an aftermarket one that is black to suit!

As i have a euro car.. (shame shame i know lol) and more shame as i had a F........ lets not go there probably a safe bet LOL.

If you find the diameter of the centre cap, or even grab your pre-existing ones and jump down to Bob Jane or maybe another Wheel place near by and ask do they have a centre cap (even blank) that is the same and you possibly be able to grab something that will suit exactly what your after. Chances are being the wheel that it is, you should find something quite easily.

hahaha yeh wont hold that against ya m8, i drive an opel (barina) as my daily, as far as the F goes i used to own an XB + XD before going down the commy path lol
yeh ive tried afew wheel places to no prevail i thought for sure aswell,just rang HSV themselves and awaiting a call back and go from there..fingers crossed

I had my wheels Powdercoated flat black about a year ago and DD my car.I had change the appearance of my wheels.I have used powder coating for frames and related bits and for cast wheels. It has been ok with them as tires have been fitted with machine.

Kunnu,just go on to ebay and look for centre caps.......there are heaps of different ones or you can get some thru the UK and he actually engraves whatever design you want on them for a custom look.
