Looking forward to seeing photos. So this will bring the plastics around my windscreen and those crappy roofrack strips back to life? What about the rubbers around the windows? Everything else is colour coded on my car but those two areas look even more shit than the rest.

I've seen how good this stuff works on plastic trim. Just unsure how well or how long it lasts through rain, car washing etc.

OP, it would be great if you could periodically update us with how it's holding up, perhaps even with some pics.

Black WOW is a great restorer.

The biggest problem is people put on too much, so you waste the product and it gives average results - a little goes a loooooooong way.

If you need to revive very faded plastics then put on a treatment and work into the surface well, the wait 24 hours and repeat the application. This way the Black WOW gets absorbed by the porous surface slowly and will have a much longer lasting result. Also you will have much better results if you 'clean' the plastics or trim first, with something like an APC solution, it will get more cr*p out of the pores of the plastic so the Black WOW can sink in further...

Also put it on with a small foam applicator pad and then keep this with the bottle in a small sealed (like a sandwich) bag, that way you will still have product in the foam pad next time making it go further and giving even better results. However if the foam pad becomes really dirty then you should change for a clean one.

    Hope this helps

Big call to generalise like that.

I'm sure it did last two weeks on your car but it would have to depend on if the car is garaged / a daily driver / how many times it was washed / how many times it was rained on / the condition and type of trim etc etc.

Not really. 2 cars currently parked outside, not garaged at all. Daily drivers, one parks in industrial area near Sydney Airport, both washed 1-2x a week and currently raining over a week in Sydney straight. Condition of one car was quite poor, in fact sh*thouse and other car reasonable. You use the right product, and you prepare the surface as you should it'll definitely last.

Otherwise you could also try a Trim Sealant from Dodo Juice which will definitely last more than a month, and also you have Wolf's Trim Coat as well. If you do a bit of research on detailingworld.co.uk you will see many durable results from these products and be quite surprised with them

I hear all that. I just think it's a bit risky to make blanket claims about how long a product will last on a car when there are so many variables involved..

Completely agree. They claim longer, i am going off exactly what i have done myself! All results vary on condition, how well you have prepared/cleaned the surface, and climate conditions as mentioned!

So you would say lasts 2 weeks and then requires to be re-applied?

I would do 2 coats within a month and see how long it lasts for you from there on and re-apply when it seems to be wearing off.

I am pretty interested in this product and i have added it to my Christmas wish list with a link to Car Care Products so if santa ends up providing the goods ill perform a few tests indoor and out and let you guys know if it looks good for a week and then needs a reapply like most other products or if it just colours in the black and then washes off.
