    Default new ve paint protection

hey guy,s great forum, picking up my new VE sv6 ute on monday, I,m getting the paint protection package with it, was told by the dealer that they spray a clear coat on which is microscopic class beads which fuses to the paint, & will have a life time warranty on fading, oxidising, & I think they also said bird poo marks, anybody have this on their car?? & should I still wax it...cheers

take your lube with you cause dealerships rape you on the price for what is only a paint sealant that any good detailer can apply for you. for a cheaper option look into a nanolex approved applicator.

id love to read the terms and conditions on the life time warranty cause i highly doubt you would get a respray if the paint oxidises

cheers toey,, In hindsight I should have done some research , but this is my first new car & didn,t know about the extra,s they offer,& they get you when your all excited, but the protection package also includes window tinting & interior protection, package cost $2000, so if you add up doing those 3 things separately, hopfully I didn,t get raped to badly So maybe this could be a warning to new car buyers, Ill find out some more about the paint protection system they use on monday & post some details... by the way this is a great forum & have learn,t some much in the past couple of days,,eg,, 2 bucket washing method, using a waffle towel not a chamois , claying,, when to wax & seal,, Ive ordered a heap of gear from CCP so should be covered,,,cheers,, jay..

Most stipulate in the fine print that the product needs to be reapplied every 12 months in order for the lifetime warranty to be honoured. When I bought my R8, the Ming mole told me that the car would never need washing with paint protection because it would "clean itself". She looked at me with a blank expression when I chuckled out loud. She actually believed her own spiel. Farking hate car yards and the associated sales people.

So people still fall for the old paint protection thing.

I thought everybody knew it was BS..
