Can use a meguiars product called scratch-x it could be the fault of the sponge/cloths you are using.

i use the applicater pad that comes with the cut and polish and a cut up towel to wipe off. so that might not be helping. what is that stuff mate? is it a rub on, rub off like cut and polish? where would i get it from? thanks mate

Best to do a machine polish and correct the paint, not use something that contains "fillers" and masks the problem temporarily.

You will only have to do it once, and otherwise you just have to seal with a synthetic sealant or wax and maintain by washing it Are you already using the two-bucket method, microfibre or lambswool wash mitt? And please, NO chamois! :P

i wash it with turtle wax car wash, with a sponge and then chamois dry.... then ill hit it with polyglaze cut and polish with the included applicater pad and wipe that off with a cotton towel... looks good for maybe a day after doing it but then see all the scratches again...

by machine polish and correct the paint, do you mean with a buffer with liquid cut and polish or something else?

Without being the ball buster here.. which seems like i will. The way you are washing currently (Technique/products) is in fact what is causing those spiderweb style wash marks on the paintwork.

Example below is what they classify swirl/wash marks/spider webs on paintwork

As you can see with this picture below, 50/50 shot of half corrected and other needing to be corrected

Ideally its best to use a machine to correct this paintwork and you will only have to do this annually, bi-annually or a few years later again if you wash/maintain the paintwork correctly during the time.

The best way is a Microfibre Wash Mitt or Genuine Lambswool Wash Mitt for washing and for drying a Microfibre Waffle Weave Drying Towel or a Microfibre Chamois (not PVA or Leather!). The reason for this is that to ensure you do not take any dirt that has been missed or dust particles and drag them over the paints surface. So for example a sponge will grab the dirt and drag it along the surface, where a Mitt itself will hold the dirt inside the fibres itself and not drag over the paint.

Same goes for the waffle weave drying towel, any dirt that you have missed will sit in the centre of the waffle itself and not on the paint surface.

2 buckets method here shows 1 bucket for soap and 1 bucket for clean water. wash/rinse, wash/rinse to avoid any chances of dragging dirt back to the paintwork.

Make sure you use a decent pH Neutral Wash Shampoo otherwise you will just remove any wax/sealant thats over your cars paint as well. Can be any, provided its pH Neutral!

And yes machine correction. The reason this is by hand you will have almost nil result as you do not have the speed, consistency and effort vs a machine unfortunately

    jason,

if you want to get it all done in one hit i would suggest a DAS6 Kit with Menzerna Polishes to correct your paint. You can finish off with a nice wax or synthetic sealant .. thats up to you!

    So in order

    Wash car
Clay Bar car to remove contaminants
    Correct paint with machine work

wash car again to remove oils/polish from car which is left over that you may of missed.

Finish off with a nice wax like dodo juice or synthetic sealant like duragloss 111

finished! 1 day work of pain to glory!
