    Default Interior light not working.

I own VN V6 Executive. I have changed the interior light over to a Statesman light, the one with the twin map lights in it. It was working fine.

For some reason the interior light nowdoesn't work when I open the driver's side door. The light glows when the passenger door opens, and the twin map lights work.

Has anyone got any idea where to start to fix this fault?

    Thanks for any help!

was the light working properly before? maybe try turning the light on with the switch which is on the headlight switch, if that works maybe check you door switches

    Thanks for reply.

The light was working fine. I just tried out the switch on the dash and that works. I'll check the door switch next. I may replace it with one from the wreckers. I'll do it tomorrow, and if it doesn't fix it, I'll ask for more help!

I took out the push button switch, and there is nothing to break. There is one wire, and that has a reading of around 13- 14V. When I 'ground' the wire to the car body, the light still doesn't work. It's got me! Anyone know what is wrong?

Well if the wire is receiving volts then it suggest the switch is stuffed. You might as well replace the switch, should be a couple of bucks at most.
