Cool Changing a VP standard dash to a Tacho Dash

    Hi All
I have spent many hours now changing over dash clusters and playing with the gauges them selves. pulling out the standard and adding tacho, fuel temp gauges. Can some-one tell me is there a info around that I can follow to work out these clusters. when I put in the Vn dash it doesn't have a speedo but everything gauge wise works well. The bottom lights are all over the shop and its making me confused as to what I must do. I went and bought a VP cluster minus the tacho and the fuel, temp gauges and added all of mine. this time all the gauges work Speedo also but the lights at the bottom are a mess. blinker light flashing the engine symbol and so on. PLEASE PLEASE what can I do. anyone with any ideas or info on how to tame this beast.
    Cheers

Grab your original dash, and unscrew the small, wide black plastic piece (it has the SET button in it) at the front of the dash, remove the coloured display that shows the lights and then swap it over to your new dash.

    Cool

    Hi All
I had a thought on this matter. what if I was to buy a standard dash cluster and leave the speedo in it. Then I could just change the fuel, temp gauge and add the tacho. does anyone think this would work out ? I have all the gauges I just need to find out what back and front peices i need to have a working tacho cluster. Anyone have any inside knowledge on this one ?
I will work it out though the sooner I find out some information to help the quicker I can post the end results for others to share..
    Cheers

Yes it will work but you will have to carefully drill new holes in the printed circuitboard for the studs of the new instruments to connect to.The provision is there in the board just the holes aren't drilled.
