Thread: VP 5lt instrument cluster reconnect

    Default VP 5lt instrument cluster reconnect

    Hi. i been rebuilding a VPs93 5lt Ute from scratch for about a year now and it's coming close to be finish.I'm now about to reconnect the instrument cluster to the 3 differents plug/connectors and cant remember which way to fit them. I got the plugs order right just need a bit a help in the wiring connectors plugs parts as i can see that they can fit other up or down but i dont want to do the wrong way and burn out the instrument cluster.Many thanx for you answer.Great website !!

    ummmmmmm they shouldn't be able to go anyway....One side has a clip and the other side has a slight ridge for the clip to grab onto.....??
    You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

    The connectors are not going anywhere, i'm just unsure the right way to fit the instrument cluster, as there is two possible way : up and down, as the connectors look like a rectangles with a litle bit of plastic in square form in 1 corner.there is orange plastic around 2 of the connectors and 1 blue.Hope u can still help me with my explanations.Thanx a lot again for you help

    Are you able to post up some pics at all?

    Heres the layout with the colours taken from info of the factory book...a few colours might be missing but you will get the idea as most are correct and you will see how the instument connectors are installed .They are in order as you see them in the dash.
