Car Alarm goes off for no reason

Hi,
Hope someone can help.
VX S2 car alm(horn)activates on its own interrmittently
no general pattern,but more so about 10-15 minutes after car has been locked.is this an electrical flt or an alarm flt?When alm is activated and i press the unlock button on the remote,there is no indication from the lights
there has been an issue with the alarm.
If i manually lock the car,there is no problem,does this indicate that the remote key is flty?

interesting one. hopefully you get a better answer from someone who know but for interests sake my aftermarket alarm sounds when the temparature changes too fast in the car! ie on a summers morning when the sun hits her, give 5 mins of heating up and itll blast!
