VS UTE
Hi i bought a VS ute about a month ago and there was no bulb for the interior light, so i replaced the fuse and checked with multimeters and the interior light is always on.

It doesnt matter if you push the button on the key, close the door, or turn the light off from the headlamp selector, its always on

Any help please?

Cheers

Could be the BCM
If it is a MID level BCM check for constant supply at pin 9 white/green wire.
Also check for short.

how are you checking it with the multimeter? make sure you probe both ends of the globe holder, not one lead on the car body and one on the globe holder. the interior light has a constant power feed to one wire and is negaitive switching on the other wire.

Check the dimmer on the headlight switch. There are 3 positions for the dimmer - dim, normal and dome light. Should stay in the middle position (unless you want your dash dimmed at night lol)

check the BCM output pin 9 white/green wire. With a multimeter.
Check for constant supply from the bcm. If there is a constant supply then the light always stays on.
Then the BCM is at fault.
Or there could be a short.

Well there is a fuse panel on the drivers side under the sterring wheel. Its behind the fuse panel.
If you cant find the wire for some reason. Try to disconnect the BCM and see if the light goes off.
