Hi guys..

I have read a few threads...
I have visited the ebay ...
And I have messaged micheal so far without reply..

i have a vt holden series 1 1999 ecotec...
i like to obtain a cable for code reading from onboard computer..

if anyone can supply me with one and i think i saw mention soemwhere of someone selling them for $25..could someone give me a hoy...

i also see mention of several softwares for free...can anyone tell me the best ones they have found for the this cable and with series 1 holdens..

i like to be able to read and access gm codes..
i like to be able to clear gm codes

i like to be able even data log an engine via a lappie...while it was driven or being under test

you can build the cable theres a wiring diagram on here to make one for around $10 software efilive or scannerpro

what is the tool/cable for modifing the "chip"?

you need an eprom programmer to program the chip and require a uv eraser to wipe the chip before programming can be had off ebay cheap then you need to learn what to modify

the internet search it and read what you find for a year or so then you may be ready LOL nah its not that bad but i did read for about a year solid before i even touched a cars chip
