VN box with VS loom???

Hi,
I am looking at putting a VS 3.8 and VN auto (this has the mods already done for 4WD) into a hilux. I have a complete VS available and was thinking I could use the VS loom with the VN box. Does anyone know if I will have any issues with this?

yes i believe you'll have issues as the ecu will be wondering why the box isn't changing... plus various other problems.

another thing you could do is use the vs engine with a vn loom. ive heard of people doing this before, therefore you'll be using the vn ecu and you'll just convert the engine to use the MAP sensor rather than a MAF sensor the rest of the sensors i believe are fairly similar...

you could run a vn ecu on the vs engine but would need a tune to suit or better still use a vn engine more low down torque
