head lights cut out head unit.

i have been doing a power window conversion on my vs and some where i must have made a mistake. but ive disconnected all the wires from the power windows to the car so everything is back to the way it was (electrically) and now when i flash my high beams or turn on my head lights the head unit turns off for about 5 seconds then turns back on? the interior light also dims? what does this mean? i checked error codes and it all is fine. as i said electrically it is still the exact same car, no wires have been added or cut or changed at all and it does this, when i reconnect the power windows they all work fine but the same problem with the high beams and head light happen...

this might be an obvious answer but im pretty stupid... lol.
