taking out engine wiring loom?

Hello,

Well i have a new engine its the same, but i do not want to cut the loom to get the engine out so how would i go about getting the loom out of the engine as its all over the place i do not know where to start.

Leave it on the engine when you take it out. Just need to unplug it from the ECU and there is another plug up under the dash, then put your hand up to where the big grommit is and you will feel 4 clips stopping it from pushing through the firewall. You'll also need to disconnect the wires around the battery (you'll see what goes to the engine).

Then once it's out of the car transfer the wiring loom over to the new engine (you'll be able to see all the plugs now) or if it's already got a loom on it just drop the new engine in ;)

Okay ill do it that way, as the loom on the new engine was just cut at the firewall.
