Hi,
I considered a V6 conversion for my VK, I found a guy on the net who makes wiring harnesses for such conversions, he charges about ~$200 for the harnesses, plugs etc all done.

Althought I can make harnesses I was going to go that route, time effort money it wasnt worth me making one.

check out some V6 conversion places or even castlemaine rod shop.

I do have a genuine VK factory work shop manual I should be anle to scann wiring diagrams for tho.

heres another diagram that might be useful

I have done several V6 looms for ecotecs and buicks into VB-VK's.


For the Vk manual a gregories one will do the job but for the vn wiring factory diagrams are a must.

When doing this wiring job its best to have all the wiring complete with the dash wiring, it makes it easier to do with less cutting of the wires.

After doing several now It can be done in a few hours.

hey there scummy, sorry for the late reply, pm me sport, i got the complete list here of vn, vp wiring harness for all of the luxury models, i cant help you with the vk how ever, but i do know of a shop that can get you a holden service manual (better than any factory or gregories or haynes manuals

they are a bit on the expensive site, but sure are worth every penny spent

the wiring diagrams i have will give all details needed, connector type, cable colour, cable location, connector location, cable size, cable length, its very ver easy, pm me, ill get them to ya

Holden service manuals are factory manuals.

As i told scummy there is more to it than having both manuals.

I have the info on which Vn wires go to which vk wiring and what vn wiring can be discarded from previous conversions.

Will post this on the net for everyone to download.
