vs t5 vss

hey all i have a t5 behind a vx ecotec in a vr with full vs stato body loom and a vs t5 loom and ecu and the speedo works on the dash but the ecu side of things doesnt, fault code 94, i havnt used the statesman steering rack for the solenoid would that be part of the problem? should i try a jump wire from the vss to pin d2 on the ecu? or is a manual bcm different to an auto one a t5 vs speed v6 loom diagram would be helpful. i thought about earthing it but if it wasnt earthed the dash wouldnt work yeah? thanks guys

the vss signal needs to be connected to d2 for the ecu to be able to read it

yeah the engine loom is genuine and not played with and the purple/white wire is in d2
