installing some LEDS in the boot

hey guys jsut wondering about installing about 15 LEDS into my boot sterio install im doing

i would like some advice how to wire them up so they only come on when boot is open and only when the ignition is one (1st click)

wat would i wire them to enable this function

you'll need to switch them using the accessories as positive, and boot switch as neg.

best way to do this would be using a relay. pin 85 to acc feed (cigarette lighter), pin 86 to boot light switch, pin 30 to positive 12v, and pin 87 to LED's. then earth the other side of the LED's.

you could also do it without the relay ie. use cigarette lighter as positive to LED's, and boot switch as negative, but i'd do it with the relay, that way you can expand the setup as needed.

pin 86 on the automotive relay. Just take power from your amp/stereo wiring.
