Manual Gen3 VT SS + V6 VT manual turbo
Hey there I have converted my auto v6 vt to a manual t5. Now to get the speedo to work, I have been told to run a wire from the drivers rear abs sensor which pulsates like the auto speed sensor and run it through 2 jaycar speedo correctors and run that wire to the blue/white wire on the original auto speed sensor plug. My questions: which wire do I splice into from the abs sensor; brown or black? And also what do I do with the tan wire on the auto speedo plug? Do I earth it or run to the other wire on the abs sensor? Or just leave it?
Thanks for any help

i wouldn't be connecting anything to the abs sensor. it takes very little to load the circuit, which will cause issues with your abs.

need to find a convertor from square wave to sine wave, or find a VSS to suit.

Just to let people know i now have figured it out, u gotta use the black wire on the abs sensor to the blue/white wire on the auto speedo plug and just leave the tan wire discnonected and it works fine through the two jaycar correctors. Happy now that I have finaly got a working speedo instead of having to use my iphone lol

Ok if you have got the time first up what is a memcal?? somthing to do with the ecu??Im from the toyota world and have never heard of this before.
Yeah i was told this and also with most toyotas you can measure the resistance of the circuit and put a resistor in place so it still thinks the auto is there, tried this morning and did not work like it has on other cars in the past.
The error code that it is number 24 no speed sensor signal. I just want the light off as the car is ok.
I started a thread earlier which might explain what i mean better??
