I have VS series 2, and when I open driver's door, the speaker goes dead. Also sometimes in
hot weather, it drops dead. I removed door trim and can't see a problem with speaker wires.
I also looked at wires coming out of radio, and nothing is stretched tight. Then I wriggled the
loom between the door and A pillar, the speaker goes off and on, so there is an intermittent
fault in there. The mirrors and power windows always work. Now the problem is that the left-hand
door has started doing the same thing! Is this a common fault with VS ?

I had that problem when I first got my car, and Mums VZ has the same thing. Another Holden issue I guess

It's not a Holden thing its common across the board. You will find that a conductor has failed in the loom that goes between the body and the door.
