cannot get passenger side firewall grommet back on....

as title states, i can't get the bastard back on. I ran a new power wire through it and it wont sit flush with the firewall. is there a trick to this?

Maybe try some Vaseline or similiar on the grommet, that worked when I reinstalled my antenna grommet after I updated to a power aerial and the grommet wouldn't go back in all the way

thanks mate ill keep that in mind for next time. i got it on this time by having someone else hold the internal part forward and prying each tab over the edges. needless to say i had bloody sore fingers when i was done...vaseline makes perfect sense why didn't i think of that
