My rooflight has stopped working after attempting to modify it. I've tested it by holding the constant 12V cable to one end of a festoon bulb, and then touched the other end to the roof, with no response from the bulb.

It is possible that i may have pulled the rooflight harness out of its plug while trying to wire up the new light, but i have no idea where to find where the harness plug is, some ideas on where to find it/how to get to it would be great.

is the festoon bulb a led? or just a regular bulb? if its led its has polarity.

does the bulb work? stupid but always need to check. do you have a multimeter that you can check to see if you ahve power in the plug?

the bulb was a regular festoon bulb, brand new though the fuse appears to be intact.

Nah i don't have a multimeter on hand.

It has worked previously using the test i mentioned in my first post, which is why i suspect that i may have disturbed the plug end of the wiring harness
