Hi, my drivers door window has packed in and only goes up and down a couple of inches. do i have to replace the whole regulator or can i just change the motor?. Also, if just the motor, where can i get one and will a motor from another model fit? it is a 1991 VN (Lexen newport). Thanks in advance.

any VN-VS regulator will work. You will unfortunately need to change the entire regulator. its most likely bent, or snapped which is causing it to not work.

Have you tried helping the window with your hand? on my old VN wagon i had an issue where the rubber guides would come loose and jam the window, requiring my assistance to go up and down. See if that helps, then take out the guides, and put them back in properly.

Thanks for that, will not budge when i try my hands. Do you know if the regulator is bolted or pop riveted to the door?

Pop riveted I believe. Drill them out and replace with 4 nuts and bolts.
