Hi,

Putting power windows in the rear of a VS. It has no wiring at all, so i am running new wire myself.

Can anyone tell me what the pins on the rear switches are?

Here is a pic of the pins on the switch.

Thanks!

Well im stumped. I cannot figure this out.

I have a wiring diagram from a Haynes manual, but i still cant get it to work.

Here is the diagram (for the drivers side):
diagram.jpg

Up the top is the wiring from the master switch, and the motor and rear switch are below.
I am wiring the master switch up directly to power instead of going through a BCM.

For the master switch i have this:
- Red/Yellow wire goes to 12V
- Red goes to pin 1 of rear switch
- Black goes to earth
- Yellow goes to front motor
- Blue goes to front motor
- Green goes to pin 2 of rear switch
- Brown goes to pin 3 of rear switch

For the rear switch i have:
- Pin 1 is power from Red wire on master switch (12V when child lock is off)
- Pin 2 is connected to both the Green wire from the master switch, and the rear motor
- Pin 3 is from the Brown wire on the master switch
- Pin 4 is connected to the rear motor
(There is a 5th pin on the rear switch, but it isnt mentioned in this diagram)

Here is a nice paint diagram of how i have it. (Pins for rear switch are labeled on the switch itself)

When it is wired up like this, both the rear and the master switch only work in one direction.

Any ideas as to what im doing wrong?

Perhaps.....
That's a big (thread) dig mate.
It's been 4 years. I think he may have figured it out, or he tossed it in.
