VN immobiliser/central locking

My left indicator stays on when I activate/deactivate the immobiliser/central locking. It's only an intermitent problem but when it happens it's a real pain in the rear. I spent 45mins yesterday sitting in a car park pushing the button for the immobiliser trying to get the indicator to go out so I could drive home. Anyone got any clues on an easy fix or how to disable the flash function until I can afford to install a new immobiliser?

Please notice that I'm not asking to disable the immobiliser, just the indicator flash function or an easy way I might be able to fix it altogether. I know nobody would tell me how to bypass or disable the immobiliser completely.
