Vs series 2 acclaim

Gday iv got a vs commodore II acclaim and the factory tacho isn't working.... Iv tried changing the instrument cluster but made no difference, iv also tried plugging an aftermarket tacho into the auxiliary plug by the passenger strut but nothing there either, I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it or what to replace.

Id be going with dfi module

Dfi module? Is that with the coil packs attached to it??
