VX Commodore brake light switch

My brake lights for my VX Commodore wagon stopped working today.Checked fuse,OK.Checked bulbs,ok so assuming it is the relay switch.Now i have never tried to find this switch and had a feel around the brake pedal and couldnt find anything.Can anyone either give me a mud map so I know where to look,and is it an easy item too fix myself.Also,if I take it to an auto sparky how much would I be up for too replace it?

real easy to find, they are switched using the pedal, they come into contact with the pedal bracket. if yours has cruise there will be two switches one for the cruise and one for the brake lights. they work differently so they can only be used for the correct purpose. any brake switch from vn to vy can be used and probably vz as well.

pull down the panel under the steering wheel and you should be able to see it above the brake pedal.
