I've looked in my manual and I can't find my fuse box! My CD player stopped working yesterday and I thought it could be a fuse. It says the fuse box is next to the steering column but I couldn't find it. Is there some trick that I don't know about? I only got my car on Tuesday - can anyone help me? It's a 98 VT commodore berlina
There is a door under the main dash console. With the drivers door open, reach to the side of the dashnear where the vents lead into the door. Pull there and the left side of this door directly under you trip computer buttons. flip this down and the fuses are visible under your headlight switch.!
Thanks I'll try that! You're a legend!
Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this message. Currenttly I have no power going to my vt instrument Console and hence I have no spedo, temp guage or fuel gauage. I have check all connects and they appear to be correctly alligned. I have checked all the fuses under the steering wheel with a test lamp. All fues are ok apart from number 11 instrument illum. I have replaced this with a new fuse and re tested with the test light. still not getting power. I tried the fuse in another slot and it works.
So obviously the fuse is not getting power. Does anyone have any ideas of what I mite be missing.
Thanks
sbt the fusebox is under the steering column, the large plastic panel is hinged at the bottom, grab at top and pull towards back of car
hey mr freeman check fuse 13 and 21 also, fuse 11 is illumination, fed from park lamp relay (not live until lights are on?) don't have time to check right now
