    Default Moroso's MO74051 battery box

Just thought I'd give a little plug for these things because I just got mine in the mail and they are an awesome piece of gear.

There's nothing I don't like about this box from how it looks in the boot, to how comprehensive the collection of ancillary bits and pieces is. There's even two options provided for the lid seal, each with a set of slightly different sized clips to suit.

The only place I could find that stocks one (granted I didn't look that hard) was Rocket Industries. I bought the black one.

They come with way more included stuff than you see in those pictures.

Anyway just thought I'd throw this up, if you're not sure it'll be worth the extra cost for one of these over a shitty supercheap special, it is.

whatever your standard sized VN-VS-VZ battery is, ... that size. And probably a bit bigger, I'm sure I've seen yellow tops etc in them before and I think they're bigger than normal.???

Pretty similar physical size, they fit easy in commodores where a normal battery would (D34 yellowtop)

I just got mine in the post today from vpw. great kit. Very happy with the quality and the price. I'm also getting the moroso remote battery terminals.

Interested in suggestions on what to use to chock up one side of the box in the boot (necessary because of the uneven metalwork on the driver's side of the VN boot floor)

Any reason a couple of bits of stacked ply (under the carpet) wouldn't work?

Spray expanding foam filler outside car, cut piece to size, paint black, use that?

    I don't know

Well I hit another hiccup which has made me solve this problem a different way.

The only spot in the boot where I like it requires one of the mount points to drill down through a chassis rail. FAIL.

Thankfully that's on the low side so I'm going to make a bracket up out of a spare ecu cover (lol) so I can mount the box to that, then mount that to either side of the chassis rail.

    Am I worried over nothing?

I had the same issue. Managed to get around that by using the hole in the chassis rail to mount the rod through. I made the hole a little wider to fit a washer and 14mm socket.
