Lighting wiring options

Quick, basic, wiring question:
Getting interior and exterior lights, if i wanted the new lighting to turn on when my parkers are turned on, do i just splice the wires into the parker power wire?
Is there any specific place i need to run the new lighting wire into?

Easier to splice into your dash light wires, such as cig lighter illumination wire.

Well i only just noticed that there's a few previous threads, but none of them are answering if i need to do the splicing at any particular point along the length of wire?
Undecided what im going to splice into though
