Default VR SS fog lights gremlin

Hi, my VR is doing strange things with the fog lights.

if i have my headlights on and i switch the foggies on.. the headlights go out and revert to parkers?

Foggies are meant to be able to work both with parkers and headlights right?

    Whats goin on here?????

    To answer ur question, no.

That's the way they are set from factory. U dont want headlights on when using fog lights, u want the light low as possible, under the fog.

I know u can place a wire between 2 relay pins which allows the foggies on at the same time as headlights. The coppers love this mod also!

    i see...

i didnt know that was the case... a mate has a VS SS and the foggies work on both, thats why i was puzzled.

are u able to elaborate more on said mod??

Basically you jumper a wire across terminal 30 and 87a on your fog lamp relay and they will both stay on when you want them to

Couldn't have, if vr requirements were to switch off the headlights for fog when turning on the foglights, then the vs would be the same, ADR rules would never change that rule. Both vr n vs they are classed as fog lights not driving lights.

Dunno what ADRs have to do with it, but basically it is known you get a better vision in fog, with foglights on and headlights off. The VR headlights turn straight off when foglights are turned on, updated on the VS so you can choose to have the headlights on or off for safety reasons.
