Boot light + Locking light issues

Hi there, i was working on the car today applying sound deadener in the boot and when i removed the boot liner i had to disconnect the trailer cable...

When i reconnected the wiring etc i have 3 issues:

1.) The bootlight now wont turn off at all, even when the boot is shut and the car locked

2.) When i lock the car the indicators dont flash once or hold the flash for the alarm

3.) The hazard light button doesnt flash the 4 indicators


Ive made sure that the indicators and brake lights etc all work for driving purposes, but they dont workfor these other functions.



Please help shed light on this issue, as for now ive got the car disconnected from battery so as the bootlight doesnt flatten it.

Ive tried resetting the car computer to see if that works but didnt do anything

Not sure... Why don't you remove the boot light globe rather than disconnecting the battery until the issue is rectified? Do it before you reconnect the battery so the globe doesn't short out on the metal around it and blow the fuse.

Did you rewire the trailer correctly?
