Hi all we have a 160 km stock vz v6 auto. Its the wifes car so is treated soft; always shop serviced.
In the past month it has occasisionally made a clicking sound
like the solenoid on the starter motor isnt thowing it into the fly wheel.

Two or three clicks and vroom once or twice every 3rd or 4th day.
Always started today it wouldnt engage at all jump started it all good.

The battery was in it when we brought it 12 months ago
so dont know its age.All the electricals work fine and no codes on dash.
Are these things known to have connection issues at the starter motor.
I am getting the battery tested tomorrow but i dont reckon its that.
Any past experience's?

Howdy A bit of an update had the vz at the auto elec's yesterday
their first stab was a loose connection at the starter motor.
But after they plugged the scanner in found no code coming from the alternator.

They put the multi meter onto it and shows volts jumping from 11.9 to max of 12.8v.
Looks like a new one from the holparts on-line store an O.E.M for $135.00
