hey all,

i tried searching for old post and found alot however none that really gave me any insight,

my drivers side power window stopped working yesterday in my VT wagon..

when i hit the console switch i hear a clicking coming from near the ignition, i gave the door a good thump and the window briefly operated..

im guessing there is a loose connection behind the door card, but i usually find the faults after pulling half the car apart.

can anyone point me in the right direction first?

much appreciated.

It could be a broken wire in the door loom, in the rubber boot between the door and body, Try moving the boot around a bit while operating the switch and see if you can get it to work. If so, you will need to fix the broken wire, if not you will need to remove the door trim and check the wiring with a multimeter or test lamp.
