VR Berlina wagon.
G'day.

VR Berlina wagon. Found the cigarette lighter & tailgate wiper not working the other day because the fuse had blown. Thought I would add that they were working the day before I found the fuse was blown. They are combined on the one fuse. 20 amp, slot#15.

I replaced the fuse with another 20 amper & while I was kneeling next to the car I turned the ignition key on to the point where the dash lights come on & heard the fuse blow. So it's blowing as soon as power gets to it.

No smoke or smell, & everything else is working as it should. Any ideas what I should look at next.

Thanks

Look for shorts in the system. The power from that wire is earthing out on the body.

Thanks for the reply mate.

Found the problem. The screws securing the outer casing of the wiper motor came out & the casing was touching part of the tailgate.
