alternator wiring help please.

I just got the galant running with the ecotec next step is to sort out the alternator can anyone give me some sort of direction on how the wiring is done? Is it as simple as returning power back to the battery?

keep in mind i dont have any of the loom for this it has to be done from scratch.

three wires on the alternator.

main battery connection is obvious.
the other two connections are on the regulator.
one needs to be connected to the battery (main battery connection at alternator is fine.) the other needs to be connected to the charge light on the dash.

the light terminal should be marked with an 'L' on the reg, and the battery connection will be marked with an 'S'.
