relay wiring

so i'm a little confused, after doing a bit of research and looking at wiring diagrams, there all different .

firstly, is this diagram correct?

i've got my compressor hooked up without a relay but i want to put one in, so if i were to hook it up like in that diagram, so the lights is the compressor in that picture, that part is easy.

i'm not sure where the "white" wire from the switch (power supply) goes to?, does that just go to 12V power aswell? so joined up with the relays yellow wire to the battery (+) ??

oh yeah, so basicly its like this, i found that one on ebay on description hehe

so i am going to hook up the (+) from the switch to the relays positive, il be using 12Gauge wire so it should be ok
