Hey I'm new here have read a few post but am having trouble with my vt ecu bcm
It starts but only for like 2 seconds and only some times, imobilizer light flashes

I have changed ecu and bcm and key head from another vt
It is all same as what was in mine has low on bcm and ecu says v6 auto
But just dead with the new ecu and bcm
Doesn't even wind over and imobilizer light just flashes

Any ideas would be good as really need my vt back on road

The guy I got car from had a no vats , no security ecu in it but would like to have it so
Can't get stolen so easy

Try putting the ECU that came with the car back in. Then turn the ignition on so the warning lights come on for 1 minute but don't crank the motor over. After 1 minute, turn the ignition off for 1 minute, then try and start the car.

You can also try leaving the ignition switch in the ON position for 120 minutes. This will bypass the immobiliser and if the car now starts, you know that its a problem with the immobiliser system(s). Make sure everything is turned off inside the car, as you dont want the battery going flat, two hours with the ignition switch on will probably drain it a fair bit anyway, so make sure its fully charged before trying this.

Might be a silly Question from me but did you try replacing the slip ring ( where the key contacts on the face of the ignition barrell)?

That would be my suggestion, but it would most likely be a worn barrel letting the key hang and then disconnecting from the key reader.

I am having this problem too. I have to lock and unlock the car and start it again. The remote is fine. Could someone please translate what bcm and ecu are.The NRMA man bent the slip ring out a bit, but it hasn't changed anything.

BCM is Body Control Module , ECU is Engine Control Unit ... In a Holden you should have a BCM . Only my opinion as advice not meant as anything else.

VT has both, BCM controls things like power windows and the anti theft system, the ECU or (PCM) controls the engine.
