vy center console power outlet access and removal

Hey guys... center console power outlet not working... I'm pretty sure its due too previous owner wiring phone to stereo using wires goin too outlet... I'm goin to pull stereo out to find out but I need to work out how to get power outlet out! Have pulled center console out ( where window switches are ) but from there it seems like I need to remove the entire center just to get to outlet that's inside center box... that doesn't sound right to me... is there an easier way??

Try getting to it by removing the rear air
vents, but I'm not too sure other than
maybe pulling the console to bits.

There's bits an pieces chopped near stereo where phone was wired... its been chipped at a connector an I'm guessing its the one heading to power output... but I cannot find the other end of connector... driving me nuts... thinkin of just running new wires but now need colour codes
