Hi there,

I am going to be installing a ignition cut rev limiter and it needs to have signal from CAS 1deg and 120 or 180deg. Can someone please tell me which wires are which from the CAS or the DFI. I have pinouts just don't know which degree is which.

Much appreciated

The two signals from the CAS are: 20 degrees apart, 0-5V - 'G' at the DFI module, blue w' yellow trace (on VS/VT at least) - and 120 degrees apart with 10, 20 and 30 degree widths, 0-5V - 'H' light blue w' yellow trace. For a single 'crank' position signal the camshaft position sensor is a 0-5Vsignal - brown on 'J' at the DFI module.

The pin designations are cast into the electrical connector for the DFI module.

The 'G' signal is 5V for 10 degrees of crank rotation then 0V for the next ten (hence the 20 degrees duration), repeated 18 times to get to 360 degrees.

The 3 'H' signals per 360 degrees of crank rotation start at 5V at 120 degree intervals and stay high for each of 10, 20 and 30 degrees of crank rotation before returning to 0V until the next signal, which occurs the balance of the 120 degrees later i.e. +110, +100 and +90 degrees.

The 3X signals don't occur at TDC. I think the 10 degree signal starts at 70 degrees BTDC on #1 on a VR.

Thank you very much for your help. This rev limiter says it needs to splice into 1deg and 120 or 180 deg, do you think it would matter if it was using the 10deg? I don't know how the units computer works or anything so am not sure.

thanks
