vr statesman remote door lock

Hi,
I have decided to keep my sons vr statesman for restoration.
I had holden replace the 2 remote door keys. The car now starts great, but I still have the following problem.
When I use the remote to lock the doors the drivers door knob stays up while the others shut, but very quickly pop back up again. if you then open the door the alarm goes off. The doors can be locked by turning the key in the drivers door.
Please any help appreciated

Does it open with the remote if you manually lock the buttons, maybe the wiring is damaged or the motor in the drivers door is shagged.
Also maybe the buttons need some lube, especially the drivers, I use lanolin spray whilst someone operates the key I spray it into the button slide.

No all the doors open except for the drivers, I then put the key in to open

I would say either the wiring is loose or broken or the lock motor is dead in the drivers door.

Ill Pull the trim off and get out the multi meter
