lh tail light wiring

So l have found some sheared wires just before the plug on the lh side tail light on the actual wiring loom this has been temporarily fixed by twisting and taping my question is where the cables actually run to the car is a vs Commodore

the wiring just goes to the right hand side of the boot.

fix it temporarily/permanently better with some heat shrink, solder and a soldering iron.

Hey do you know if there is a plug near there to disconnect it or does it follow through to the front of the car thankyou by the way I have traced it to the back of the boots where's its bundled with the res

should be a plug on the drivers side behind the carpet if it still has it joining the tail light loom to the body loom
