Car won't turn off

Don't want to take my car and get ripped off somewhere so hoping this forum will help. My VZ Commodore Omega won't stop. The key turns and the car sometimes is still going and sometimes a fan is still on. Sometimes it will stop after I turn the key back on and off again but today I had to disconnect the battery to turn it off.

We think Ignition, but the car is also getting extremely hot when the car is standing still pointing me to electronics of the fan or something.

Please help, I have no idea and really want to sort this out outselves.

if it fails to turn off you can always pull the engine fuse out.

with it failing to turn off when you turn the key off, then it could be the switch on the back of the barrel. also check the relays. if they are sticking then they could also explain the problem.
