O2 sensor wiring gremlins?

Problems now for a while with rear o2 sensors, car is a ve l98 keeps throwing codes for bank 1+2 sensor 2 open circuit. First codes were o2 sensor heater resistance now showing open circuit? Replaced all o2 sensors checked plugs wires etc nothing! All fuses in engine bay ok... Anyone have any ideas on what this 9 month problem since I have had car could be? Cheers in advance for any pointers;-)

Could be a bad earth somewhere

Broken wire or loose connection somewhere a possibility.Even worth checking the connections on the back of ECU.
Can you run a diagnostic scanner on it to determine if it is always open circuit or only intermittently?

I will have to spend a full day on it checking everything.. Nah my scanner only reads codes and erases them:-( can't get live data. Cheers for the few more ideas;-)
