I don't know if I am on the right track.
But I have a plug between the battery and the power steering pump, just below the positive terminal with these wire colours.
The violet wire on mine has a white trace (which I can't see in your picture) and the brown wire is thinner than the other.
It looks like one end goes back with the starter cable and the other end winds it's way around under the fuse compartment and down buy the right side guard.

It looks like the brown wire may go from the alternator to the instrument cluster and the violet/white wire may go from the starter to the start relay.

You will see it better on the second picture below.

Yep that's the bugger. Remembered it goes to the starter relay. Where do you recon the white wire went? I have a feeling its the voltage sense wire?

If you are referring to the white wire off the alternator, it goes via a "brown" fusible link to the + side of the battery according to my diagram.
Funny though....I don't have a "brown" fusible link in mine, only 4 yellow and 1 green.

If I remember right. I think tge white wire had a connection that went to the +v... But I don't remember it being fused... I think thqts the sense wire for the alternator regulator so that it's not over pumping tge battery of charge. Or under pumping it..wonder if our vt are internally fused in the reg?

I would say you are right in being the sense wire.
Here's a picture of the diagram which might make it easier for you.
Don't worry about the circled start relay, that was for someone else...

Awesome. Exactly what I needed. now to fuse the white wire. And run back to my main loom. There are also two plugs of tge same type. Just to confirm. Tge one from the dizzy goes to the plug on the ignition module right?
